Cute Kids and Mom!!

So our good friend Melissa Kroll who's a professional photographer offered to take some newborn and family pictures with Shan and the kids. Unfortunately Kenny couldn't make it due to work but the photo shoot was still a lot of fun and the kids had a lot of fun posing and laughing while getting their picture taken. Anyway, we got a lot of great pictures and thought we'd share them for everybody to enjoy.

Jake was a pretty good sport throughout the photo shoot and Melissa did a great job of getting some really great shots with him and Shan and the kids.

Brooke and Bry were pretty hyper during the shoot, but that actually worked out pretty well cause we got some great giggling pictures with the kids that are a lot of fun.

Both Brooke and Bry are getting well practiced in the proper way to hold their baby brother and how to be very gentle.

3 Weeks and Counting

So I thought I'd post a quick picture update since Jakie is now just over 3 weeks old. The little guy is mixing in famously with his new surroundings and continues to charm the pants off all with whom he comes in contact with including his Mom, Dad, Big Brother and Big Sister. Jake now weighs roughly about 8 1/2 pounds and is becoming more awake and alert with each passing day. Brooke and Bry love chipping in to "help" as much as they can and luckily for us jealousy has yet to rear its ugly head among our young brood. Anyway, life continues to be good and we're enjoying and adjusting to life as a family of 5!

Clothes, Swings, and Getting Clean

Well things have continued to go well here at the Webster home with little Jake getting used to his new environment. But we are glad to report that all is going well and everyone's getting along famously. One major advantage little Jake has discovered about being home is he now gets to wear warm soft onesies and jammies as compared to the hospital where he only wore "thin hospital shirt" and he is loving snuggling up in his new wardrobe. Along with his clothes some other new things Jacob has now experienced include swinging in his new swing and taking his first bath at home, both of which he has enjoyed. In fact I must say that even though it's still a little too early to tell, so far Jake's been a fairly low maintenance kid and being that this is child number 3 Shan and I can only hope the laidback demeanor continues on through the teen years. Is that hoping too much?

So two things are now known about our new little man:

1. He LOVES to sleep and has to be woken up for most feedings
2. He needs to gain a little weight back as he doesn't eat enough cause he's always sleeping:-)

Not to worry though. He is becoming a more voracious eater by the day and the doctors and nurses we have consulted are not worried as he is finally starting to eat enough to sustain and gain weight as he should. They'll weigh him again at his next checkup in a few days and we'll see how everything is.

Besides that both Jake and Shan are doing great. They both came home from the hospital Saturday afternoon and it's been a lot of fun having everybody under the same roof again. Brooke and Bry both want to see and help with Jake as much as possible but unfortunately because they both started getting sick the only thing they can do is look from afar. They have both been great about this and understand that they don't want to get their new little brother sick.
